As an SEO firm, LeadMarket got to work on projects ranging from Government branches to venture funded startups to medical private practices – even doing a lot of work for more established agencies. It gave us a great two years of being able to travel across the country and work on a flurry of different campaigns:

IF Marketing:

IF Marketing is an agency started by two ex-NFL players, Will Furrer and Jeff Novak, two awesome guys who were really fun to work with. They had more traditional clientele, but their vision and energy was infectious. They were smart, had an eye for brands, and were ethical folk who always paid their bills and took care of their people. I came in and taught their team advanced search engine optimization (SEO), and worked hands-on on projects ranging from Regency Homebuilders to a hospital in the Sutter Healthcare family.

300 Feet Out:

Run by two smart, sassy ladies this boutique San Francisco marketing firm specializes in hospitality and luxury segment marketing. It’s not all they do, but they are very, very good at taking a luxury boutique hotel and recreating that experience online. From working with Nina and Barbara and their team I learned what felt like a whole new world of marketing – marketing to women who wanted an experience on the web, and not just data.

LGC Wireless:

Pam Cozakos (their marcom mastermind) brought me in to make their start-up #1 for keywords in Google that their primary competitors were out-ranking them on (of course). We ended up building a fantastic friendship and wound up not just dominating their keywords organically in Google, we made sure their press releases were seen all over the web, that their clients saw their names associated with the LGC brand online in positive ways (people like the Borgata Casino, the US Patent & Trademark Office, etc.) and that the new website was designed with in-building wireless functionality in mind. They were subsequently bought by ADC, a publicly traded company in the Midwest.

One World Communications:

One World Communications in San Francisco has an emphasis on PR for government agencies and non-profits. Working with them is always fascinating because their clients and their situations are fascinating. Because a lot of the projects are outside the corporate box (i.e. have budgets but not quotas) and because the scale and scope of the campaigns are socially and/or politically important, I love working with them. They are very nice folks, always looking for innovative ideas, and easy to work with – a dream partner to have.

RingCentral:

Just when I thought I was out of VoIP… kidding. My first love as an entrepreneur presented another opportunity to work with a VoIP SaaS firm, this one the leader in small business PBX phone systems. They were great to work with and my work for them just felt, well, natural.

Qualys:

The leading network security company – Qualys, asked LeadMarket to come in and audit their search marketing campaigns. Working with Sasha and Rich was a great experience in that they really understood their market and wanted to deliver as much of the website and product’s functionality to the public/customers/programmers – and to make those resources available easily. They were extremely knowledgeable about their own search marketing campaigns (and site analytics) and it was a wonder to occasionally observe just how many different projects and campaigns they managed (both offline and online). Very sharp folks.

M5 Networks:

Who doesn’t love traveling to NYC for work? The dominant VoIP-for-business player M5 Networks in New York asked LeadMarket to come in and consult on various aspects of their online marketing. Anne, Ashlie, their CEO Dan, and their VP Ben were very cool, very got-it, and super smart. In essence, they were very Manhattan! LOVED working with them…

It’s hard, really hard, to get a consumer-facing website in a hyper-competitive market (home furnishings) to be successful in an economy where home sales are, to say the least, poor. But we were able to make the website commercially viable by establishing block and tackle fundamentals to their search ads, their landing pages, their tags, and online PR. The latter really made a difference…
